Hey guys,

The maiden voyage was a success today. We rode a few trails at Brimstone Recreation, but they were nothing exciting with the Lexus...more ATV/UTV oriented. Then we hooked up with a Rylan Bowlin from Dirt Performance Inc. in Oneida and headed out to the Obed River, and along the way we hit some mud. Here's the video:

Then after Rylan made a phone call after some unsuccessful winching with the hi-lift, we made it down to the river, which was beautiful:

Then, from there we headed back south to Exit 134 off I-75 and went up to an old place I used to wheel in 4runners. It was much more eroded, which made it a lot more fun. This was a big hill climb...hard to tell with pictures, but it's pretty steep and nearly 100% rock all the way up it:

Then, you come up to this white sand pit with various places to climb around on, but this time the water was way too deep and we were a little gun shy of wandering out without anyone else with us to pull us out.

Then, we headed back down the same rocky climb:

Overall, it was a great day breaking in the new modded LX450. I'm very impressed with the Cooper STT tires, and to my surprise the suspension was plusher than expected despite the stiffer springs. The rear bumper was never touched, but definitely in need of some sliders, front bumper, and to complete the rear bumper so I can start doing the harder stuff.

I'll be posting up a fairly rough video shortly...don't really have time to edit it too much.

You should of drove through that river to get rid of that mud!:D

Great pictures (And lots!), and great looking truck!

LOL...yeah, it would have drowned. :)

Thanks...can't wait till it's fully built...heading to Moab in April, so hoping to have the majority of it done by then. But, today, I was very happy with the way it rode, although I think I've got a birf ready to go, unfortunately...time to upgrade, I guess! :)

Chris

Nice pics and good looking truck. The more I look at pics like this the more I think I should have went with more than just 31" tires.

Great looking truck! What is the lift you've got on it?

Moving to TN next year and glad to see there are some rocks! I thought it was only mud out there :)

Great scenery... What rear bumper are you gonna do? Im in TN, Nashville. Holler at me...

cheers,

Joel
It's partially on there right now...Rylan Bowlin from Dirt Performance in Oneida, TN is going to finish up building it. It's a combination of rectangular tube for the main center sections and round tube. My best friend lives in Nashville too...what's in between Boone, NC and Nashville for wheeling? Probably Windrock...there's a ride around the 12th of May there...you ought to meet up with us.

Chris

That rig is nice.
Do you DD that thing?
Yep, but I work out of the house, so I just drive about 15-20 miles/day to and from the gym and to run errands. In all honesty, the thing rides better than when I had the suspension lift and no body lift and stock tires, outside of having to make an emergency maneuver. But, I'll have that fixed with some Anti-rock swaybars eventually.

Chris

I love the rims... they really make it "pop".
Can't wait to see the rig in person sometime!

Thanks...where do you live?

Chris

Auburn, AL.... 5 miles from Brett
but I'm sure we'll be at the same event soon enough.
