Weber 32/36 Progressive carb

What do you guys think of these? Someone is selling one.

My I believe original Aisin on my 69' F is getting tired.
Sight window is cracked secondary does not work etc.

From what I've read, if you have pretty much a stock rig, it is a good carb. If you start adding things, headers, RV ground cam, etc, you want to go to the 38. Have one on my '45 temporarily. Plan on changing it out for a 1 BBl Aisen (for purity). But it seems pretty unkillable, to be honest. Runs in spite of everything being out: timing, dwell, valve lash, mixture were all off when I first drove my truck. Did relatively fine.

Dave, you will be happy wtih the aisin 1 barrel(saw pretty pics of it) I really like both of mine, simple, plenty of power.

the 69 aisin is prolly the worst of all the aisins(from what mark says) I would personly go with a different aisin from like a 72 or something.

I dislike Webers. They are ok, sometimes difficult to set up correctly.

I would just have your old one rebuilt by Jim C.

the 69 aisin is prolly the worst of all the aisins.

Dont mess with the webber. It will never be 100%. The 32/36 is a bit too small and the 38mm is too big. Get a early 70s OEM carb, so sayith the pimp, have it rebuilt and be done with it. Or, get a holly, dick with it a few years then have the best carb possible.
