YUP!! tailight splicing is the only issue and the fuel neck from the 80's is short so if you find one at a yard grab the fuel neck and tailights and cut off like 4ft of wiriing from the lights forward

I havent really seen one at the junkyard, but it does seem the early 90s are more common, thats why i asked. I found a place in CO that sells yota parts but they dont have any good beds(at least for my 86) right now.

Long bed or short bed? It's a long shot but try ToyConnection in Santa Clara, Ca. 408.399.9142, they might have an early bed if you still want one.

I'm assuming you're talking about Yota Jim? www.jimsgotparts.com I'm 99% sure I saw some decent beds there about a week ago (I was looking at cruisers though, so I wasn't specifically looking for mini truck beds).

No i was referring to yotayard.com

Don't. It is a name which shall not be spoken in my house.

Seriously, Jim is the man. I have not been impressed by the Yota Yard, although I've only been in the Denver area about a year buying parts, I understand they used to be better.

Dan

Ohh. My friend turned me onto them thats why i had inquired. Ill check out what Jim has, thanks for that.

You're from idaho Springs huh? I been through there once, that place is up there!

They clearly invested money for business-improvement into their website intro...

Parts are to be found! Don't relegate yourself to only a few sources.

Saw a 4wheeler magazine where a guy restored an 81-83 4x4 1st Gen, put a bed from a 93 on it. Looked great, the bio said the bed fit perfectly and lined right up. I am pretty positive the frames (from cab on back) are the same from the early 80s thru 95.

Im hoping to do a good bit to the truck this upcoming summer once my car is done. Bed, paint, wheels/tires, and i want to do something with the tired old 22re, not sure what though.

We need to quit all this jibber jabber and get some more pics rolling of some work actually being done.
