Thanks @Coolerman I think what was confusing me is the dual thermo sensors as illustrated in the images and wiring diagram. The LR wire on the diagram shows the thermo switches get power from the heater circuit. The other thermo sensor gets power from the same source but sends to the emissions computer (if I’m reading the diagram correctly). Since I am not using the emissions computer, the second thermo sensor is not needed.
