Does anyone know what this sound might be? ive recently been hearing this sound, it's very inconsistent and only really comes on right after starting it and while going uphill in a lower gear for a short amount of time and goes away if I accelerate to a different gear or just take my foot off the gas. would anyone know what it is? im thinking a either a pump, a slipping belt, or anything because im really clueless, anything would help.

Sound a bit like gear box.

Check all fluid levels. Engine oil, Frt & rear diffs, transfer case, A/T and power steering. I'd drain gear lube through a rage or some type of filter. So you can check for metal, as you should too the drain plugs magnets.

It doesn't sound like serp belt pullies or alternator. But check them. Also check A/C compressor clutch.

I've had something touching transfer case shift, make similar sound. But I notice in video/picture, nothing was.

Try shifting the transfer case through its positions?
Is the sound present in low range?
Is it not quite seated fully in high range?
Just thinking at it.

could be simple as a vibrating heat shield, check the easiest things first.
Sorry for the delay but I just went under and all my cat shields were clamped already except one was a little loose, and my muffler shield was just sitting on top of my muffler not attached to anything which I'm assuming was the main problem. I tried to tie it down with some wire which just made it worse so I'm thinking about getting a really big hose clamp for it. But I'm also thinking; it is really rusty and it's probably just making my muffler rustier if I leave it on, would I have any issues if I just took it off?
