As the title states, I am hoping to get you opinion on buying a GX with 233k miles.. The vehicle is an 08, and is rust free, has pretty much all of the known maintenance needed, however its got an 8.2 with elocker, 4.56's, co 4x4 nimbus RTT, prinsu rack, OVS awning, spindle gussets, BMC, BXbuilt headlamps, and likely random other things im forgetting. theyre asking 18k. what are your guys thoughts?

Hard to say without saying pictures on the "as-is' value, but I can confidently say it would cost significantly more than $18K to build a rig like that (cost of rig plus parts alone, not even including labor). That alone could be a bit of a red flag, as the P.O. is seemingly ready to sell the GX at what must be a significant loss (a $10K+ loss is not out of the question here, and maybe more). It would be interesting to know why they are walking away from the rig - are they moving on to something different or does it have problems causing them to unload it at the loss?

With any modified rig the question is always who did the work (shop or DIY) and what the quality is. If the build is a poor quality, you'll spend a lot of time and money fixing the mistakes of the P.O.. If the build is good quality and the rig is mechanically sound, you might get a great deal and save a lot of time and money relative to buying a stock rig and modifying it yourself.

Since you are in CO (presumably with lots of 4x4 shops nearby), it's probably worth taking it somewhere that specializes in 4x4 Toyotas for a second opinion. And making sure the seller has all receipts/documentation of all the mods - so if you do run into problems down the road, you might be able to file warranty and other claims.
