We are currently in Guinea West Africa. I noticed a little leak on the steering pump. 12 ht engine. Do you know a place in the area that I can get a steering pump send to me in Ghana? Traveling toward South Africa. We plan to take a break when we get to Ghana. Follow our travel @nullacruising

I
If the leak is small, top it up with new oil.
Or go to a local Toyota dealer .
There are in every capital in Africa .
A new steering pump is not cheap

After several days traveling off road and some 4x4 track in Guinea. A piece of my front rear shackle broke see picture below. My plan is to weld the shackle on to the chassis. Is this a good idea. For some reason Toyota mounted these shackles with rivets. If you look at the rear part of the shackle you will see that a piece of it fell of. I really don’t have much other options at the moment. We are now in Man, Côte d’Ivoire heading towards the coast San Pedro, if someone knows of a shop in our direction please let us know. Thank you

Generally this happens when the vehicle is overloaded .
How much does your Toyota weight ?
Yes I am heavy. But I think it is the road.

We just want take a moment to thank all our friends on Ih8mud for your contributions to the build of our home on wheels Nulla. She comes from the Nalla Abor Plains in Australia so we call her Nulla. Ih8mud continues to be our go to site as we drive around the world. We are currently in Africa and our Nulla is getting her ultimate test as an expedition vehicle. She has the engine of a tractor. We took and continue to take your advice simplicity-simplicity. Thank for you continued support. We need it🙏🏽❤️

Our home on wheels has been traveling the South African roads for a couple of years. She needs some TLC😂 We are looking for a Garage in South Africa that can perform the list below. Please reply with your recommendation.

We are currently in Côte d’Ivoire West Africa, we should be in South Africa around April. She has a 12ht engine with Gturbo from the first generation when Graeme first started putting them out. The engine is running good but i would like to give her a check up and a tune up. Maybe an upgraded turbo replacement.

Here is a partial list of the items that i would like to do;
- upgrade the air condition it has not been working for a while
- seal the cabin
- raise the front to level with the rear maybe another lift spring and air bag for stability, rear has air bags. The suspendsion did good on the African road but i would like to to see if there is improvement needed.
- replace brake lines there are rust in some.
- align the panel in the front engine hood area
- re core or replace radiator
- maybe new wire harness
- replace tires with 10ply tires
- inspect chassi reinforce as needed
- etc…..
We want to get her ready for the next adventure.

I was at a shop in botswana. Guy was very experienced with cruisers. McKenzie Self Drive 4 x 4 in Maun. His shop might do the work, or he might know someone to recommend
