Should have been part of the 100k service and definitely a highlight for me. It’s easy enough to drain and fill I’m planning on a 30k interval since I hit 100k.

You want to pull both block drains as well. Easy enough to get to.

Just checked my records, coolant was changed out at the 100k service... good catch guys thank you.

Are the other tires brand new? We can only have so much differential front to rear on tread.

Interesting comment, I didn't think about that. The rears measure at 7/32, and they have about 21k miles on them. One front has a nail in it that Discount Tire said they couldn't patch (too close to the sidewall and they act scared). I was going to move the other front tire to the spare (currently running an 18" factory spare that's DOT data 2018) so my spare matches whats on the GX. This led me to replace the front 2 only. Of course, I got home and inspected the tire with the nail, only to find out the nail did not puncture through. The new plan is to find a 4Runner 17" with the correct size spare, keep the two used tires in the garage, and swap them out with the current rears after they run close to wear bars.

Side bar I saw the nail and bought two new cooper discovered tires (great price from wall mart and this tire has never let me down, I've ran them for years) I just has Discount do the install... they said they would patch for free if they could. Just want to be clear discount did not sell me tires on the premise the nail ruined the tire.

Now on the subject of variance, what is the tolerance allowed? new tires running 14/32" used are 7/32" Quick math a full 7/32" variance on a 31.42" tire equates to .007% difference. Am I thinking about this correctly?

I thought it was just a few percent. I have been in that situation and bought 4 tires.

Its the price of proper full time 4wd.

With my most recent tires purchase i bought a spare and am doing a 5 tire rotation, so if I lose one I am still good.

I should of gone with the 5th spare and rotated them out, that's a good strategy.

Found out the Hawk HP+ pads had already worn through in about 5,000 miles, even worse, they chewed through the stock rotors. Apparently, though, now listed on Hawk Direct, the HP+ brake pad compound is for auto x... so yeah, never buying Hawk products again. Not sure why Hawk offers an Auto X compound for a 5000 soccer mom suv.
Replaced with fresh OEM front pads and new OEM rotors, also had to put on new caliper piston boots.

Tech found a very slight seep (not wet, just dried residue) in the water pump gasket.
New water pump/gasket replaced under L-certified warranty. While they were already there, I paid to have them put on a new serpentine belt, thermostat, and upper and lower radiator hoses. GX was finished off with fresh coolant.

adding two pics from our epic summer roadtrip.

GX has now been to the redwoods, mt. olympus, bryce, zion, and glacier national parks.

GX went into lexus for ita 115k service, actual milage was closer to 113,500. Also found the front end knock as the crash bar was a little loose, flexing and hitting the frame. Suspension was all checked and good to go.
