Couple quick questions

Have no experience modding my 200, just hours lurking around here. My stock shocks are leaking and the dealership is quoting me 1100 for parts and labor, which seems a bit ridiculous. I'm interested in throwing on an OME setup and some bigger tires, but I'm overwhelmed by the amount of variables that seem to come along with lifts on the 200.

Does anyone have experience with an OME 2 inch and 34's on their 200? Is a medium load OME setup the best I can do in the 800-1200 range, noting that I'm likely going to have the local Lexus dealership install? Do I need new UCA's for a 2 inch lift / 34" KO2 setup and will I have significant issues with rubbing?

Looking for advice for the best route to take if my only end goal is fitting 34's with an upgrade to the factory suspension on a budget. Apologies for unloading questions on y'all, I've been searching threads for a lot of these questions for weeks and I'm overwhelmed with the range of info/opinions.

Interested in this one. I too get confused with all information available relating to this topic.

Jason at @TRAIL TAILOR can hook you up as he's done for MANY on this forum. He sells Tough Dog which is about the same price as OME but IMO a better bang for your buck. he can walk you through the options and recommended setup.

I have the 2” Ironman with 34 10.50’s. Kept the stock UCA’s. I really like it. Only issue Ive had is local shops telling me they can’t align it because the cam bolts were frozen. So we put it on the rack and figured out you loosen the bolt from the front. Hopefully I’ll have the alignment sorted out Monday.

Any time the word "budget" appears in such threads, my recommendation is always the same: stick with OEM setup and don't screw with what works. If you have to go aftermarket because dealer pricing is too expensive, fine, but stick to stock height suspension and stock size tires.

Lifts and bigger tires just about always lead to problems (read: $$$) down the line. Whether it's blown shocks, poor alignment numbers due to lift & stock UCAs, drivetrain vibrations, or other issues, if money is a big factor, don't go down the path. Modifications are a rabbit hole, and lift/suspension can be one of the deeper holes.

Budget lift is front coil spacer, rear 30mm spacer, oem shocks and 275/70/18 tires. Same smooth stock ride and really no downside. Don't go to a dealer and find a local mechanic instead. You don't have to mess with the KDSS with coil spacer.

what is your budget? The advice above to stick with stock parts is absurd and totally stupid. (Sorry..That is the only accurate way to put it.)
As was suggested Jason at trail tailor is a good source. You can just message him and discuss things. You can talk to Slee Offroad also for good info.
With a 2 inch lift which is the most common you may have a little trouble running true 34" tires. But most 34's or many times 33.25 or 33.5....get my drift.
By the way.....I have never in many years had any alignment problems with a 2 inch lift and 33-34 inch tires.

Check on the Tough dog prices and check with Slee offroad. You can get some OME (old man Emu) shocks or coil overs there. For the BP51 coil overs made by OME your looking at around $2500 as I recall.....plus installation. I get the feeling you want a more budget friendly app for now. Check on tough dog and check with Slee off road .com on other OME prices. To run 34's you will most likely have to run spacers and do some trimming....but it isn't a big deal. Most likely they will fit ok and be a little under 34". :)) Hope this helps. Most of us have grappled with this decision at one time or another.

I think 34's are a good size personally. Move up to 35 and the spinning mass goes up enormously with little real benefit.

I went with BP 51 suspension and the handling at high speed on highway and also slow offroad handling is awesome. You will be a happy camper with anything once you dump the stock suspension.

I re-read your post....yeah you're going to dump $1k or so on suspension and more on tires. There is a great tire that came out last year with super prices. Can't think of it now....I'll remember it later when my coffee starts my brain.

Aha...I remembered the tires.....

Look at Milestar Patagonia M/T mud terrain radial tires. People on this forum have been following them for about a year. They seem to be great and you will save a bundle. Don't have a 34 but their 35's may be 34".....happens sometimes. Like it did on my KM3's. A whole inch less than was quoted to be. :))

You can see them on Amazon but I wouldn't buy them there. I'd try tirerack or some of the other online tirestores.

Here is the Milestone site. Scroll down for sizes and actual dimensions. I guess you are running 18" wheels???
