I'll have to pass on the Gilmer run not my most liked place to wheel. Can't see my self going back there.

Yea Sicily Island was alot of fun !
"You mean the amount of articulation or the articulation pics... those would me some of mine ;)

me " Those are some good pictures ! My thanks goes out to all that took them and posted them also.

Now lets see some of the pictures of Costa Rica

I mean the way your truck stays perfectly horizontal while your wheels are at a 2 foot difference in height!

Sorry, I am still trying to get pics together.

Welcome home! You'll have to tell us how the lift went!

We had a good time. Not really much time for fishing ..we saw many geese. I didn't see any ducks on this trip.

I knew most of the pics were from you. They came out great. I could see you imagining the troopy doing the same!

unfortunately, the lift didn't come out right. I was not able to assist in the lift because I had real estate work and my farm work to do at the same time. I asked the mechanic to be ready for me on Monday and that was my only free day. He couldn't start until Tuesday. He put the front springs on the rear and the rear on the front. The front is about a 6 inch lift and the back is about 1. It looks like it sexually excited.

The Detroit locker job came out great. That is a very weird feeling when that thing kicks in,( I have never had lockers before) especially when you have 10 inches of play in your wheel. I didn't attempt to climb to the top of my mountain because of the muffed lift job and my buddy was supposed to have installed a roll cage. In Costa Rica, DOT is not in their vocabulary so, they were never a factory option. The mechanic is reversing the springs this week and I lined up a guy to build a full cage. Unfortunately, I won't be able to wheel her until January or February:frown: I will post pics soon.

..

I'm confused... is sexually excited a bad thing???

...I suppose if you're a 40 it is.

Glad you made it back safe bud. Sorry bout the lift. I've got my own sagas these days as well.

Post up the pix!

Thank you all... I haven't been in here in weeks (the baby was due two weeks ago!) and I've got a lot of reading and a deal of work to catch up as well. I saw Thad yesterday at the hospital, and didn't really even get to talk to him....it's been busy and crazy (and playing the sole parent isn't easy either!). At any rate, I needed something to break things up, so I bought one fof those WoWee Flying DragonFly toys (yeah, for me) and I have to say that I'm 1000% amazed...do a kid a favor and get him one.

Thanks again fellas.:beer::beer::beer:

Congrats Mike, so when are you getting the little guy his first cruiser? I can just see it now 16 year old kid with a 70 series driving around Lafayette. Tell the wife congrats, I think she helped out in a small way also.

Another good christmas toy for the kids is the Air Hogs Areo Ace and the Air Hogs heilcopter. Made by spin master. They both work great and conserve batteries well.

LAJeepers had 20 or more rigs in the Children's Christmas Parade today. I stood on side of one of the Musson salesman and he said why didn't we do something like that. Definitely would be fun but we'll just leave it at a good thought

Side note that silver FJ at the Saturn dealership is built nice; already has the goodies.

I took a look at that FJ at the Saturn place this morning. It has 5.5k miles and probably $4k in it from the lift, tires, and front/rear bumpers. They want $29.5k for it. If anyone was considering a new FJ, I'd recommend going for this one if you plan on adding that stuff anyway. A new one would be around the same price stock.

5 Cooper STT tires about $1000
Bent Up Front bumper guessing $1000
OME Lift about $700
Bent Up Rear Bumper $875
Mile Marker Winch $500 ??

I'm not sure if they deal at the Saturn used car place, but even if they don't for 29.5 you would be getting a good price.

She'd never say ok to that one with the fear that if she left it alone for a weekend I'd be tearing it up in North LA every chance I get. The evidence in dirt and mud washes away easy its the sheetmetal that don't fix so easy

I was sitting here thinking to my self, one step cooler than that would be making removeable body pannels. Going to the trail, just use some Dzus fasteners and strip the truck down, wheel it then put everything back together at the trailhead. I always wanted some fiberglass fenders but didnt want to crack them on the trail (plus I am cheep) but that might be a good setup... I think

Saw another rig I wanted....

...anyone wanna buy a dual fuel Troopy? !! lol

me

Wow, looks cleaner than the one you have... but does it have the character adding stick in the roof? ;)

And is that a diesel emblem I spot there on the grill? Suhweet!
