Not a tech question more of chit chat :hhmm: ... we have 40,60's,62's 80's, 100's mini pick ups 4Runners, etc. that we run on the trail with all different type tires. Curious at what air pressure you run your tires for what type of rig. I realize that there are many factors like the type of rims (steel or aluminum) tires, weight of the rig, but still curious at what air pressure everyone runs? This is also open to us web wheelers :D

last time out i ran 12 psi in front and 8 psi in the rear, on my 33x12.5x15s on 15x8 steel wheels

So far I've run 15 psi in mine... 37x12.50 R17 KM2s on 17x7.5 aluminum rims. Not sure of the weight of my rig, but I would suspect close to 6k

Thats in line with what I've seen when looking.

100,000 or less 10 - 15K depending on condition and all the bolt on goodies and extras.

100 - 150,000 between 7 - 10K

150 - 200 between 5 - 7K

200 + 5K and under

Thanks for that bit of info. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places because that's pretty low for what I've been seeing out there......especially when you factor in the ARB and winch. I think I'm running all the right traps. I'm looking on mud, craigslist, ebay, autotrader, cruizers.com, LA Sportsman, and anything else I can find. I visit each of those sites at least twice a day. Of course, she's picky about color so I am limited to considering only White, Gray and Sage. I'm looking for years between 1993-2000. What am I missing?

I have not looked at any Cruiser prices (I know, I'm slipping) in quite some time so I really don't know the current market. I didn't realize that they are going for more now than a few years ago.

I say get her a 55.:cheers::flipoff2:

I don't know that you're missing anything at all bud. Maybe that's a fair price. Seemed a little high w/ the milage but no worries. "Worth" is what it's "worth" to you. Keep looking. Stay away from mud etc..lol. You need someone poor soul in Lafayette or New Iberia who doesn't wheel and just looks at like it's just an "old truck". ...and you know there is no real value in lockers and such, especially for a teenage young lady. Don't let em jack the price up b/c of that. Kinda like a swimming pool doesn't really increase the value in a home when sellling.

Good luck... I'll keep an eye out

Thanks. To be honest, I'm all over the place on this decision. I'd personally like to get her a 60 and she's signed off on that as well. The problem is, I like the added safety of having airbags that come with an 80 for the years I am considering. Also, the crazy part is that from what I've seen, I can get an 80 for less money. That's a factor as well. Who knows? However, I do sincerely appreciate everyone's opinions and help. I'm pretty sure I'll end up with another Cruiser. My first 40 is the first vehicle of mine that she ever road in. So, she's a cruiser baby. Besides, in looking down the road to when my son is ready to drive, my daughter will leaving for college. I can hand him the keys without any backlash and put her in a sensible ride for a commute or living away from home.

I certainly understand your planning and thinking, I feel you can't go wrong with either for durability but for safety you'd have to tip the scale towards the 80 with the air bags and 4 wheel antilock discs. The 80 is top heavy but with both FRT and RR stabalizers it handles pretty well for its gerth and I'm sure a stocker does even better. This goes for any vehicle but I think as long as you can instruct her away from ever jerking the wheel at speeds she'd certainly be ok roaming around the Berry. You're at that fork now but I can see myself building a FJC in the coming years with that same purpose in mind by that time we should start finding some good used deals on them. I always like looking and will pass on anything I see that may fit your criteria :)

Thanks Larry. Your comments are helping my indecision and making me a little more comfortable. I might also add that I am looking right now because it is my plan to sell my truck and drive this thing for the next 8-9 months until she gets her license. She's gonna have her permit next week and if this is my primary vehicle until i hand it over to her, she can drive it everytime we're together. In addition, I'll have nine months to ensure that it's reliable and instruct her on how to properly drive it. Also, during that time, I can do a mild build and work out all of the kinks so when she gets it full time, it'll be ready to go.

I am a bit early but I wanted to be one of the first ones to wish you a great day tomorrow.....happy happy birthday Scott and many many more:cheers::beer::cheers::beer::cheers::beer:
