Can't make the Cole's Creek run this weekend, for those that might go take some pics.

Me either I was gonna go if Jon made it in but there is plenty to do this weekend including getting our Soapbox car tested and our monthly meeting is Sunday :)

Cool Soapbox. When I was a kid we used to build them and run them down the hill by the Camilla Blvd. bridge. That bridge of course wasn't there at the time. I can't remember the name of the street but you could get some serious speed. It may be a good spot to try it out. I don't know of any other hills in Lafayette.

Edit: There were really no houses there back in the day. Things probably changed since then.

Thanks bud its been a fun project. There are a few hills but they're far and few thats for sure. We're suppose to go dowtown somewhere to close off the St and run them :)

Good call on the emblem :D, we're gonna add some fence post caps to look like some chrome headlights on each side of the hood and a toy emblem would go good on the front.

Got me a Uniden CB and a Firestick Firefly antenna. Anybody know if I need a SWR meter to tune this? If so, anybody in the NO area have one? If I don't need the SWR, anybody know the best / easiest way to tune it? As you can tell I know jack about CB's. I just want to be able to use it out on the trail. Not looking to have long term relationships with truckers on the road. :lol:

yep will need to tune it SWR is the best nope don`t know anyone in Hershey town sorry]
 
Thanks gents its been a fun project. Our first design he took a hard spill and got some pretty bad road rash now the cockpit is built around him and limited the turning radius and it should do well. Good idea on the gun Jon I can widdle one out of wood for the hood :)
 
haha fluid film is the bestt! been usining it for yearss ,, sence i worked at travis boatingcenter when i was 16 , and my bud ryan , owns his own boat repair shop all we ever used greatttt greatttt stuff! for protection , ryan dad at guidrys ignition in new i beria is a dealer also ,
