any body in the club have any experience with slide in truck campers of the pop up variety?

or of the non pop up variety?

I used to have one but I can't remember the name of it. They are awesome. It slept 4 people, shower, hot water, AC, and the works. I remember I bought it dirt cheap. I have not seen them on the road in a long time though. Mine was not a pop up but that would be pretty sweet.

no don`t have any:meh:

you B puttin it in the Dodge or trailer a`la kowboy?

planning on doing it in phases, getting it in the back of the truck, using it like that, next year stepping up to a gooseneck and transplanting it more permanently onto it.

Cool but I dont think it has a toilet, if that's what you're after.

I dont mind that it does not have a head, I am just wanting something I can air condition, heat, and is watertight. The tent I am figuring is probably fairly watertight, but that much surface area seems like it would be a loosing battle to heat or cool.

That was an awesome boat... untill the tree hugging hippies wrecked it.

Sounds like a good plan Josh, I have no personal experience with the truck camper but have walked in a few at the camper shows and they make some really nice ones. It would seem taking it out and in the bed of the truck would become a pain in a short period of time but with you planning to add it to a fifth wheel later becomes a much nicer option and a sweet setup :)

lets start a poll a new handle for Josh:)

it makes a nice way to have accommodations and a place to put the rig plus one hell of a nice back porch:)

will keep an eye out for one.
