All of this talk about winch line jinxed me Saturday. I was pulling this tree (which was in one piece at the time) and my synthetic line broke. The line pretty much just fell to the ground and didn't go flying in one direction. I know you don't see my winch because I use the synthetic line on the rear of the truck and just pull it with my cruiser motor. My battery can't keep up with all of the pulling and I take my winch off the truck so the winch will not get stolen.

I'd like a little feedback from you all. I recently bid on this vehicle and wasn't successful, but the reserve wasn't met. I contacted the owner and he told me that he sold it to someone from Louisiana. First, anyone know who bought this? One of you guys? Also, what do you think about this rig? I'm thinking about having the guy build another one like it for me. I'd appreciate all comments, good or bad. Here is the link to the item as it appeared on ebay.

Great rig Armond I like it alot :) easy to maintain and pretty durable to all weather conditions. Would make a great rig. I didn't see that he mentioned any lockers but just a rear aussie locker would do you just fine for a little added traction. :)
64 model tub and windshield, 70 model bib, fender aprons and turn signals. A 75 or later hood. I guess he has a few parts laying around if he builds them.

I appreciate all of the comments. I like the utilitarian look and design of the vehicle. If I were to get something like this, I would lock it and get a winch then put it through the paces. Funny, after my mods I might have more in it than my current vehicle but I wouldn't mind riding it hard. I won't even take mine out on an overcast day. What's wrong with me?

I used to feel the exact same way and I had, and have some rare cruisers. I got tired of being owned by my cruisers. I really don't care anymore. All I am worried about are a few items on the trucks that are NOT replaceable. I still say, keep your 40 and wheel it. Get an exo-cage.
