Yeah, really kinda stupid. We used to hit the Tarpon Rodeo every year when I was a kid. Loved it.

I didn't realize that these were the rules. Why no change? Who "makes" the rules?

...just email greenpeace... lol

I too loved it when I was a kid. Then I grew up and realized that it was a kill for no reason rodeo. I am ashamed to admit that a boat I ran for some time and I are on the 2002 or 2003 Tarpon Rodeo poster. Out of all of the tournaments in the world, and I have to be on that one! I guess that is just my luck.

I don't know why they will not change the rules or who makes them. Kinda like lots of things that are ran or governed in the fine state of Louisiana.

As far as Greenpeace is concerned..:flipoff2:... I love to kill things I eat. You have seen my goose hunt pics....and there is nothing like a cockpit full of Tuna blood everywhere, but I will aways stop before I catch my limit of tuna. The state regulations are 3 tuna per man. When I take people fishing there are 8 to 10 people at least. 30 Yellowfin at 40 to 200 lbs is way too much. I8hgreenpeace, Ih8PETA,..........

Some nice additions to the artistic thread. Wow wheeling that landscape has to be bone chilling

I just want a patch of grass and I'm good :hillbilly: I know just where to go get it so I have to stake my claim and get there early.

I know you'd be good... I would as well... but not all the people that smell you on day 3.

Wish they had a least a place to wash ur butt crack.

Thank you much for the offer Davin but then I wouldn't have anything to complain about. It would be nice but for a quick three day weekend I'm fine with the tent bud. Mighty nice of you to offer.

yeah near that pavillion!

Actually I was thinking of the long strip of grass near the tree line coming from where our camp site was towards the rodeo ring take a left and there is a long strip of grass next to the tree line. They had some folks along there last year.

 I used the hose behind the port-o-lets at the rodeo arena and after a long dusty day on the trail it worked out great. Jeff said Cottonland would have a shower setup.

i just ain't a gambling man................

reservations are at the holiday inn express again this year. :hillbilly:

I understand :)

yeah the one where the "bunny slopes" are near.

that would be an ideal spot.

not as dusty.

I think it will be. It looks like a great place to post camp and out of the way so when you're ready to call it a night its away from the crowd. I had to put up with listening to badass and his cousin arguing with each other all night last year. It was like listening to two women in there. :bang:

I'm hopin to delay long enoug to have to camp and then I set up the fortress and complain a bit. However, if it's still "warm" I have a small window unit... :D
