Well it is painted and installed. and I was right I CANT hear the dang thing except idling in first. At any other speed the engine, body rattles, and everythign else on my heap is making too much noise to hear the shaft clanking. I took it all the way up to 40 and the vibration is nto even that bad on it it seems like.

Why do y'all mess with major **** right before big rides?

Agreed. Remember I changed all the hoses in the Troopy in fear of the last ride and then the water pump went down...lol

I suck

me

mom brought her acura to beaumont to get serviced. They gave her one of the new RDX's. I was driving it around and it kept making a funny noise. Come to find out it was the turbocharger. Looked it up online. Its a little 4 banger with a turbo. I never realized how much of a difference it makes. Still doesnt have the punch of a V6 on the WOT but it is pretty swift. Not to mention it has an allwheel drive system thats off the chain. I took some hairpin turns really sharp and my girl screamed. I had no idea how fast i was going but I felt i was in complete control. But being it was AWD it only gets 17-22 mpg. Averages about 19. Thats is horrible considering thats what I average.

Well thats my rant, i have never driven with a turbocharger before. So forgive me for being excited,

on and dual zone climate is awesome, i dont have to sweat while my girl tries to get warm, fancy alien technology

I wish I still had my 450 WHP AWD Turbo Rally car to take you guys for a ride. I could take curves in access of 100 + mph and have you hollering to slow down

the acura also has a monitor that shows how much power each wheel is getting at anygiven time, so you can actually see it working. The fasted thing i have ever ridden in was a chevy silverado SS. It is so wierd to me that i can be in complete control when im in a turn at 60+ I have to take a drive down to cameron and really test it out. If it had a blown 6 i would be in jail or the hospital too much power

Find a friend with a sports car and talk him into going out to No Problem Raceway when they have an open track day. You'll have a blast. We use to race hot laps in 20 min sessions. It don't seem like alot of time but flying wide open around the track for 20 min at a time is plenty time. For $75 dollars you race all day or until you get tired. Its safe and no cops to worry about in the rear view mirror unless you see this guy. He likes to mess with people especially mustangs and corvettes

I'll be looking  The movie Open Season opened up with Boog the bear riding in the back of a red fj40. The rest of the movie didn't matter I already liked it. :D

That was my daughter's first I MAX 3D movie. It took her 5 seconds to say "daddy look at the Land Cruiser". She is very well trained. It was a proud father/daughter moment.:D

I know I saw one or two of Marty's crew and Jerome's daughter somewhere :hhmm: We should be able to add much more for the Sicily trip and events to come. Its important to get the families involved and then we're all having fun. Now the wives :princess: are a different story

Cool pics.
I am really starting to wonder if our kids will get to drive these as their own when they are of age. Tough and slow trucks are great for beginner drivers, but are we going to be able to afford the gas? Serious.

So true, presently its hard to imagine what it'll be like in a year or so with the drastic prices and changes let alone when they take the wheel.

Found out that I have a speeding ticket waiting for me at home. The camera at Cameron and Slemco clocked me at 44 in a 35, so watch out in that area.

Poor guy had my bad luck. Good thing these old rigs are tough. He walked away with just a few scratches. I like his project with the 4bt.

he said he got his engine from Tennessee Diesel Conversions- if you make it over that way for a 4bt, I'll take one too:D
