Good catch Armond LSM ponied a couple dollars for the Expo and was talking about writing a article on the Expo for the magazine. One of the guys in LA4x4 either works over there or has connections there.

Yep, Dave driving the 40 on Paradise trail. Cole was in the 100. Thats great they used a 40

They wanted something that looked good. They couldn't use a heep.:D

 thats my pic, I took from down bottom when we dropped down onto the beach Dave was behind me. Here it is.

 nah we post links to our events for their viewing as they usually do for us. It was just funny I went to my Expo folder to pull a pic of their rigs and saw it. Wow the similarity :hhmm:

If you sue, I'm due a finder's fee!

I'm working on one right now for LSM on some work that's going to be done on Pointe Aux Chene WMA and last night I submitted two articles and pictures to two different off-road magazines about Catahoula Recreation (Sicily Island).

Now I'm hustling some other leads for fishing how-to/where-to and then any other off-road features I can come up with.

That Pointe Aux Chene project is being done by DU. I'm actually working on a funding source for part of that one.

The reason I asked if you were doing any outdoors stuff is that Governor Jindal just appointed me to the White Lake Property Advisory Board. Once I get comfortable with what is going on out there, I'd like to see something written about the place to increase the awareness of the property and what it offers to the public. I'll get together with you discuss ideas that you think might be interesting.

PM me when you're ready Armond. My article about PAC is actually about a proposed project for a company to put E&P waste into the salt cavern under Lake Bully Camp. Last month I wrote about the guy that was busted shooting too many ducks with lead shot and now I'm on my next controversial topic. I could use a positive story. Congrats on making the staff for Jindal. That's awesome.

Yeah Scott, I have a high res copy of that pic I'm going to print out.

Kinda sums up the weekend... so I'll copy it to this thread as well. :)

I read the write up in the daily iberian yesterday, congrats!

Where is that located?

New Toy club in Louisiana a couple members will be joining our meeting this Sunday. I dropped by to introduce myself hoping they'll join us at some events and increase our numbers. :D

Thanks. The property is located south of Gueydan, north of Pecan Island, west of Intracostal City and east of Grand Lake. Basically, from Gueydan you head south on LA Hwy 91 until the road ends. From there you take a boat. The property is 70,000 acres of freshwater marsh with some croplands and cattle grazing land. There is a very nice "lodge" that BP/Amoco had for entertaining. It is now used to house folks who win hunts through a lottery system. You can also rent out the place for meetings or corporate retreats.

Not that close though. Find White Lake on the map and it's north of that.

The White Lake/BP Amaco property has been an interesting story since the state took it over. They offer some awesome lottery hunts and from what I heard, the fishing in there is really good too, but it isn't open to the public like WMA's are. I'm excited to hear what Armond's role is with this and hope that he and I can take a trip in there to see what it looks like.

BTW, I'm working on some rod holders for the Cruiser that maybe I'll test down there...

And I wonder if the State needs a club to help maintain some of the trails down there...:hhmm:

Met Gulf State Rep at Musson

FYI

On one of my many trips to Musson latley for parts I was approached by Mike Gregory a Gulf State Rep for Toyota he said he heard and read about us some time back and was looking for our website to find out more. He was excited that we were here and it sounds like he'll be able to help us with support for events. He said Toyota would turn us down for support for the Expo since its at a Jeep dealership but I'm sure there will be other opportunities for him to give us some help. I did ask for some Toyota swag to give away at the Expo so I'll see what he can come up with. We walked over to the trophy case on the showroom floor and showed him the plaque we gave Musson and I think it gave him a good impression of us. :)

He should be peaking in as I sent him all of our info today

Here is the link to a 4wheel jamboree April 19-20, in Baytown, Tx
4th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Texas 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals presented by TOYO TIRES

It is more of a show and shine, but there is alot for the family. The Toyota Trail Team will be there with an obstacle course and rides. I will be there in my truck but it is open to all 4x4, if anyone goes and wants to meet up just PM me. They also have alot of vendors that sell things way cheaper than normal prices. Just FYI.

Thanks John sounds like a good time and can try to hit up some O'Reilly folks while there. I need to send Tommy the regional manager for Louisiana a email and ask if he has any goodies for that event. I'll let you know. :)

It is a great time, it is amazing the variety of vehicles that turn out from mild to wild. I saw a late 60's mach 1 with a straight axle at the last show. The burn out competition is crazy they have guys in brand new trucks tearing them up. Also they have alot of parking lot truck pulls, bumper to bumper, late at night just have to find them. 4wheel parts usually throws an after party on Saturday night with alot of giveaways and a rock course in their parking lot that they allow you drive on.
