Back in the shop, my Son got me a tablet for my Birthday working on getting that installed
It's bigger and heaver so making a new brace for it. it will spot welded to the ash try, the ash try will still be functional though it's never been used.

DAMN, You got some $hit done! Obviously you know your way around your 80.
I like those extra ears. I have idly thought about a set of plates that incorporate reinforcement like that. Seems like a good way to distribute those loads a little more.

I also found the index ring lose in the housing.
I came up with this to get back in.
1"x1" square tube with 3/4 x 3/4" tube slipped in and a 3/4" drive socket the right size for the index ring.
Some tape to hold the ring on the socket bingo, worked perfect and it was all in the shop !
And a big thanks to @Shoppy for hooking me up with a set of axle seals.
