A few pics of how mine was put together. Not seen is a bracket down from the front of the booster to the fender. Has worked well over the last couple weeks.

Dodge vans used a similar setup for many years, from 1970s into 1990s. They might cough up some useful linkage bits to save fabricating it all at home.

Does anyone know what the consequences are of removing the vertical rib in the pre-late '70 40s? Other than butchering a stock body? Maybe it compromises the firewall?
 
wow, this gave me another flashback!

I had a guy roll in about 25 years ago with an FJ25 with a very unusual ‘solution’ to the booster clearance issue. Someone had fabbed a linkage rod that spanned the width of the firewall, with support brackets at either end, and simply moved the booster and master to the passenger side. Simple rod thru the left side of the firewall to one end of the linkage rod. The other end attached like a transfer case hi lo arm to the booster.
