What a great day. Flew out to Missouri for the joy of a fly and drive...surely one of life's greatest pleasures. Bringing home my BJ73...it looks like a new truck. Great to meet Steve Jackson at Land Cruisers Direct who met me at the airport.

The radio is incomprehensible...even trying to use the icons. It would pair with bluetooth phones in cars that passed me, but not mine, even though it sees it. Oh well, its coming out anyway.

These headlights dont suck as bad as I thought they would. In no hurry to change. Running cool and smooth. Seems to like 100 km and about 2600 rpm.
Cheated yourself by not meeting him at the shop. Heaps of awesome stuff there to drool over. Looks fantastic, hope you enjoy it as much as we do ours.

Fiasco with the new tires I picked. Long story short i had to buy a second new set before I left town. No way was I driving 10 hours while the truck slowly shook itself apart. Totally my fault for trying to save some money. Sooo...got a set of Nexen Roadians that roll like buttah. LIKE BUTTAH. The first set goes back to Mount Doom where it was forged. I'll post more pix tomorrow. But got a chance to look under the skirts. Suspension is on the to do list. But its clean down there, and zero rust except for a 3" patch on the rocker panel.

Okay...and now I realize that both front brake dust covers are dented in exactly the same place. What's going on there, do you reckon? Not a big deal, just sort of odd.

I would bet it's from a tie down or tow strap. Easily bent back. Beautiful rig
