Anyone have access to a brake for 14 or 16 gauge metal. I need about 40" long. I need to make a new tail end for ol' blue..

Also, anyone seen a good source for the inner reinforcing piece on the tail end of the tub. (goes from quarter to quarter under the tub along the back end of the tub)

Alan fabricated the support piece for the back. Used the old one, what was left of it, for a pattern. Turned out really well.

Yeah, I think theirs is gold plated. Same with SOR.

I found one on ebay from a vendor that looks pretty good on mud. pacar I think. $250 shipped.

I think I might get a 2 x 2 x .25 box and make my own inner. Still need to bend the outer skin, or skip it and use the box.

there is some fab shops in Olathe that can do what your looking for Kelly (i know them) if you cant find any thing LMK

Thanks. FYI, I went to metal by the foot in Olathe, and they let me use their brake. $5 bucks.

good to know! didn't know they had a brake to use.
Wish i had access to the metal shop from high school. Another idea is take a college class at junior college on bodywork. I took a welding class at Junior college years ago.. Worth it's weight in gold!

I agree on the class. MOfj40 and I took a class at kc,ks on tig welding last year. I think it was about$75 bucks. Best money I ever spent.
