Borla Exhaust issue? (1 Viewer)

Hey All-

cant believe this is my first post- this site has been such an incredible resource- you guys are a bunch of Jedis!

i have a 96 who is scratching at 200k (here she is after i photo shopped my suggestions for the new postal carrier trucks)

and the exhaust went- so after a bit of research- decided to go with magnaflow y-pipe and cats, with a borla cat back

my local shop goes to install, and the one of the hangers is backwards- and after waiting 2 weeks and having a new one shipped out, they shipped be the exact same thing-

this is the bracket bent out of place just to get it in..

is this made wrong? or am i losing my mind? even the pictures on the borla website have the brackets opposite each other

Don't know why the local shop didn't just cut and weld it in the right place. They should also have rubber hangers to make it work.

Wow thats crazy... 2 in a row. Mine was spot on when I to it.. I like the little rumble too

Rwhat... I wouldn't suggest that.... my local shop tired and burnt a hole in my pipe.. Maybe they weren't up to welding stainless.. who knows. I never went back to them

My brand new Borla has the same problem. Backwards mount...... Borla told me to have it re-welded locally and they'd pay for it. Nice little extra hassle...

Have a stainless Borla for about 8 years, the hangers are the biggest problem with this exhaust, the 3 of them on my cat back exhaust all broke, got welded and keep breaking, had to buy some exhaust clamps and make hangers and clamp them on, ...nice exhaust...crappy hangers.....but maybe they have improved them since I got mine.
