We are running Bolivia to Steamshovel Labor day weekend. We are leaving around 3:00 PM on Friday, run up, camp somewhere near the ghost town, then get up Saturday and finish up running down Steamshovel.

So far it looks like it will be SARMARK, me and my buddy in his Cherokee, a buddy in a TJ and a few other *eeps may be joining. It's been awhile since we last ran this trail and everybody has seen the pics that SARMARK took.....so it should be alot of fun.

The trail is going to be challenging. Since the rains it has changed a lot. The old ghost town of Bolivia will be a great place to camp and explore. Danny said he is bringing steaks (tri tip), and I will bring hamburgers and hotdogs to grill. I also think it will be a full moon on that Friday. Should be fun. Thanks Chris for posting this.

Here is a picture from last year. 5lbs and some serious skinny pedal and Keith will fly up that rock and clear it like a high jumper

Then he can pull my old rig up the rock, cause lord knows I can't seem to make it up the rock :bang:

I'd do this trip but I'm saving up man points to use for the Fordyce Creek run.

You can't get any on credit??? LOL!!

I don't have any man points either, I just do what I want whether she likes it or not!!!:D

I'd be interested however I'll be heading north for salmon.

Im OUT...Im gonna stick with my original plan and go do the 45 run up at deer valley...
You guyz have fun though. It does sound like a great time. I had a blast the last time.

I'm trying to talk :princess: into a day trip up there. We have other stuff going on so we can't get away for the whole weekend.

bout 8-ish years....she realized a long time ago it does no good to get bent out of shape about what I do....i'll do it either way!!:p

Unfortunately I have to bail out of this ride. Jesse Haines co-driver bailed on him for the Hawthorne 250 race this weekend and asked me to fill in. We are leaving Saturday morning to go down there and pre-run the course and get set up.

I hate to bail out, I was really looking forward to a relaxing trail ride/camping trip....now instead it will be a balls to the wall desert race weekend!!

Sorry you can't make it Chris. We are still a go and should have a fairly good turnout. Danny said he will not only bring tri tip, he is going to cook all the fixings and a pinapple cake. Anyone who can't make it this time please just get in touch with me or Chris and we can make a day trip anytime. The fall is beautiful up there and my favorite time to make the trip. Mark

SARMARK...I hear this may be quite tough for a stock rig...What do you suggest? I have been told it has washed out alot since your last visit...
