Hey gang. I've had my head down and either working the day job or pulling the pig apart - sorry for not being around much as of late. Now that I've been able to start yanking some panels off it's time to start contemplating body work. Once I get the panels blasted I want to get them worked on a bit to pull out dents, fill holes, etc. Anyone have a shop they recommend - particularly a shop who doesn't mind or maybe even encourages customer participation in the rework process? I'm ready to start getting all the doors off and rework them next, so need to be ready to start dropping things off.

Thanks!

Body guys don't like "help". Good luck finding someone that will let you. Either do it yourself and be happy with the end result or pay them to "hopefully" do it right to begin with.

You could look for a night class at a tech school and learn bodyshop and use your cruiser for the class project.

Yeah but that translates to others learning on my truck. If mistakes are made I'd rather they be mine. Good idea though and something worth exploring.

Talk to Neal at ANH Collision in Dawsonville,, they did the raffle truck a couple of years ago and did a pretty good job. Neal is a great guy too, metion the raffle and Ga Cruisers, that may help.

Unfortunately i dont have a good recommendation... but i am having a terrible time dealing with Jim Ellis Collision with my car. I'd steer clear of that one if i were you.

If you do find a good one in the atl area, i'm going to be having some stuff done to my 4runner in the near future. Let us know what you find.

I have a lead on a place in Cedartown. I did all the body work and shot primer. He is going to do the final sanding, supply the paint I want and shoot the 40 and buff it all out.
The 40 is completely taken apart so no taping.
It is Rays Body Shop 770 748 0049
He has done some collision work for a friend and does decent work. Not show quality but good for a DD.
I will let you know how it works out in a month or so.
