Well, got my 80 back from the body shop today. I dropped it off Saturday at my neighbor's shop to have the paint buffed out. The truck had some scratches and rub marks all over both sides from the brush on all the tight trails we drove. I was amazed when i got it back, everything buffed out and the truck looks better now that before the trip! the shop owner told me he couldn't see any signs of anything on the truck having ever been repainted and said that it's the best 28 year old paint he's ever seen!
