This is my first post on MUD, so please don’t chew me up too much! I’ve been reading through the forum since this summer. I live in Indianapolis, and while browsing for cars on the internet found a built Land Cruiser for sale out of Ed Martin Toyota(@Eric Sarjeant ). I was incredibly intrigued and convinced the wife to go take a look at it. She initially went with me assuming that she wouldn’t like it. We got to the dealership and instantly found the white LC. We drove it and immediately wanted it. Given the timing, things didn’t work out for us to purchase it, but we stayed in touch with Eric and his team. Dropping in monthly and following builds he had in progress. All the while, I was thinking what exactly I wanted to do for our build. It really is fascinating how much they do with Land Cruisers!

As mentioned above I’ve been on MUD a LOT since we saw our first built land cruiser. I was on it enough to notice that another active member who just had Eric build a white LC was now having him build another! This motivated me to stop in and see Eric! We connected and I confirmed that he would be collecting the originally built white LC. I had asked him if I could see it when it comes in, he smiled and told me that he’d let me know when it came in.

My wife and I went to check it out on Monday and left with it that night! My wife had one request; she had asked if we could remove the red center caps and replace them with black ones. Eric pulled out some bronze ones he had at the shop. He held them up to our truck and they looked perfect. They made the swap there and we drove off(after going through all of the paperwork). We literally drove home in a snow storm and I enjoyed every minute of it!

We were coming from a 2014 Crew Cab Raptor that sat high, so the transfer to this built LC was very fluid. I’m in sales and think the LC has a much better look to it; compared to the Raptor. That and everybody seems to have one these days.. My dad has a 2007 FJ and it’s been an absolute beast. It takes everything with a smile and asks for more! This helped me lean towards a Toyota as my next purchase.

I do have some short-term plans with the truck, Eric is helping me put a slight rake in it and also helping me get the door moldings painted in Blizzard Pearl. Seriously considering adding a long range tank and might look at powder coating the wheels in the Heritage Bronze. Still debating the wheels...
Below are some pictures of the truck. Again, if you’re active on this forum, you’ve most likely already seen this truck. I do want to send a thank you to the previous owner, without this situation, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to afford one this soon - thank you!

Great choice and at a good price. I considered that one hard before buying mine the other day. I would keep those wheels as is. They look great! The only reason I decided against is because my daughters classmates Dad has a white one and someone else at the school has a white heritage. I’m lovin’ my blue LC. Enjoy yours! Cruise on 😊

Thank you! This forum has such a neat vibe to it, especially compared to any of the Raptor forums!
Lol! I was on the Raptorforum before deciding on the LC. They all have something in common on that forum...constant problems.

That’s great to hear! My wife has a thing for white vehicles, so it worked out perfectly. Your blue one looks great - looking forward to seeing more pictures of it!

Great intro! And no one had to tell you to post pics!

That is one sweet truck. I’d love to have @Eric Sarjeant build my next one.

Thanks @Rigger! Eric has been a great to work with. He’s very detailed oriented and his passion for these builds shines through even though this one didn’t start with me.

@Eric Sarjeant is a great asset to the MUD community, it's great to have an inside track on the sales side, and someone that is so detailed on the purchase. If I was in the market for a new one, I wouldn't hesitate to fly right over all the local dealers and go pick one up from him, and drive it all the way home.

Congrats, and welcome to the Storm Trooper Cruiser! Love mine!

I’m really happy that you got the truck! I loved it. It was just a bit too high for me to get in a local parking garage. That’s awesome that you got it.

I never even took it off road! Never out the back seats down. Never let my kids eat in it! Never had a dog in it! It was weird to own a truck for only 6 weeks. I am sure you will love it.

Dnh1 - Thanks for building such a badass truck! I couldn’t be happier about the rig. It makes it even better knowing you didn’t have a dog in it, off road in it, or use the back seats!!! ;) It still has the new car smell and I feel like I’m breaking it in for the first time!

Maybe it's posted here somewhere... But what suspension setup is on that truck? That thing looks SA-WEET!

KLF - Thanks for pointing out that I didn’t add any of the details! I put them in the description moving forward. Also - thanks for the compliment! I slightly feel bad taking credit for it since the only thing I’ve had a voice in was the center wheel caps! :) @dnh1 and @Eric Sarjeant were the vision behind it. That being said, I think the blizzard pearl color door molding will look good and will mix it up a little bit.

Take credit for sure! It’s yours! I actually bought those center caps from Eric but never installed them. They were in the back of the truck. I didn’t have time to get it to the shop to get the caps off.

I just had Eric completely remove the moldings on my black LC and fill the holes. I do agree painting or removing moldings will be huge. There’s a guy on here with an LC that painted them white.

I’m glad you like it. It looks like a real truck in the snow! I am glad it has a new happy owner!

The door molding delete on your new LC looks great. I’m a big fan of your build!

I’m gonna upgrade to something like this. Not sure when. Maybe next year?

I went over and re-read the build thread. Nice. I’m trying to control my jealousy.
