I call back the windshiel shop and he double check…. And yes… but 255$

He search with my VIN.

And for your information the back glass is 87.32$ each.

Find all that at Lebeau Vitres d’auto (1800 Chemin Gascon, Terrebonne, Québec, J6X 3A4). Talk with René Veilleux at 450-471-2825. Nice guy ;)

I thought there was info on the DTLC that there were listings for aftermarket but that no one could actually get one...

Come on David let see you get one ;)

Mine is just fine by now :)

Sounds like you guys are getting ripped!! I sell and install windscreens here in New Zealand and i can get aftermarket screens for a 70 SWB/LWB (Same Screen) for $200.00NZD or a H/Top screen for the same. We charge $55.00 to install. $444.00US is equal to $700.00NZD. I wish i could charge that sort of money...........how many mods would that buy me??

It's all because we've got gray-market cruisers. If you have a cruiser in a market where the vehicle is not "supported", you'll always find parts acquisition a difficult and/or expensive proposition. You can NOT compare it to the cost of purchasing parts for supported vehicles.

How much would a vette windscreen cost in the land of the long white cloud?;)

What model Vette? We have them available from between $450-$1000.00. I may be able to put you in touch with someone in Aus who can help.

I dont want one but my fiend did but he is fixed up now I was also just showing how you how much it costs in a country not supportive of that model. I bet the Americans could get them for a 1/3 of that.
Cheers

Point taken..... Personally think I'd rather get cheap cruiser parts than vette parts given my hobby!!

Unfortunatly... it the time to me to buy a new windshiel. I made a body job on my Cruiser and the guy who install the windshiel broke it. Because it was so old... he can't give me garanty. So I will pay the cost... but I will let him search first, then I will call my contact.

wesintl - I suspect you give me bad energy ;)

Couldn't have been me.... I had positive energy all weekend wheelin in ouray, co. ;p http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/showthread.php?t=2080

I think it'd be pretty hard to remove that windshield in one piece saving the window and the W/S. I thought the glass guy was going to break mine putting it in.

Toyota of Dallas has great prices on a lot of parts. Worth asking.

Hey, look on the bright side, H2OLOVA...here in NZ we have always been ripped off for things that are cheap in the USA! Consider relatively inexpensive LC parts to be some kind of restorative justice. :D ;)

Toyota just put the new windshield on my Cruiser.

Part 5611-90K03 is replace by 5611-60220 : 244,64 $ (canadian money) … not so bad. :)

And for the one who try to find one after market… you can’t… like some of you already tell us. So the FW766BTN windshield (aftermarket) DON’T FIT on a BJ70.

And… the HZJ79 windshield and rubber weather-strip FIT perfectly on a BJ70.

HTH.

PS : still one (1) BJ70 windshield left in the Toronto warehouse.
