Bit of an update for anyone interested

Making progress with the rebuild

Got both back windows in , dash and all that in . Had a nightmare of a time getting the steering column in , tried putting in it and had a b***** of a time trying to get the bolt in to tighten the spline joint that joins the steering column UJ to the steering shaft , discovered that the steering shaft had rusted itself to the power steer box . Replaced it with a spare shaft from the 85' Cruiser I dismantled for parts ( handy having spares! )

Did some painting tonight on the rear lower corner on the drivers side

A question for those who know more than I . I'm pretty sure I've got everything wired up correctly now last night I went to see how the electrics were so I put the batteries in and went to see if it would start but the pre heat light did not come on , so I decided not to crank it over incase something was up.
Can someone recommend what to check?

Cheers all , some shots

Preheat

No worries , check fuse and electrical conn'n. No probs on just starting it. you can manually preheat each glow plug for about 4 sec. then fire it up. Check or replace the bulb with one you know works.
Cheers

Gonna try and get it going sometime in the next few days , working on some small things. Painting driver's door etc . I've put both front seats in , had some trouble with the passenger seat as it was the wider type bench seat and 1 of the mounts didn't match up . I've got the a mount from the rolled body so will be doing some welding in the next few days

Thanks for the advice guys

Painted drivers door last night. Second coat on this evening , will be clear-coating soon
