So.. what's the whole scoupe on them Kurt? just the springs are made in malaysia the rest is the same?
From other sites I see the Dakar springs are less than half of the OME springs. quite a savings. Anything they tell you being a dealer? Their ad is ok.. but it doesn't mention any details on what is different. I wonder if they will phase out the standard pricer stuff built in AUS. Not that I need another suspension.. just wondering. I'm more than happy with what i have save a turbo.. but that's another story... lol

Yes, the kit will be all OME with the exception of the springs. As far as quality, I don't know enough yet about them, I wished I did. I look forward to hearing more about them as they get out on the market. I do not think they are going to discontinue the OME as they are now selling it as the "premium" suspension setup with the Dakar being the "budget" setup. Pay for what you get I guess, hard to say at this point. They are also offering them for Toyota pickups at a great price (under $100 bucks pers spring )

Checking the Halifax shop out this weekend for OME setup. I heard its 2600.00CAN for the Dekar. I hope my info. is wrong. Belton set-up is 1700 complete in Alterta (3000 miles west of me). Can't seem to find a Belton rep. in the Maritimes, anyone help?
Also looking for a Full Floating cable locker

Has anyone here put the Terrain Tamer kit on a 70 yet? I hear great things about them on 42's. And they are quite affordable.

I have the Terrain Tamer kit on my BJ74. Kit came with fairly nice components: spring packs with military wraps, urethane bushings, greasable pins and anti-inversion shackles, TT nitro shocks, Gabriel steering stabilizer, and u-bolts. Before installing the kit, I took apart the spring packs and applied two coats of slip plate, which dramatically improved the ride. What I like about the TT is that my Cruiser sits level without a lean (there's a driver and passenger side specific pack). The kit gives about a 20mm lift, good enough to comfortably fit my 255/85R/16s with lots of room.

The kit cost $2100 including tax and shipping from Dan at 4wheelauto (this was after a bit of haggling ). It's only a few hudred dollars less than the OME kit, which would have significantly more features on the spring packs which TT would charge you extra for (ie. interleaf greasable Teflon pads, diamond tapering, flat seat area, etc.). I'm happy with the kit, but after seeing the Belton kits and their prices, and feeling how they ride...I probably would have gone with the Beltons had I known. Also, the Belton gives you a little bit extra lift (maybe 10mm?). I had a friend's BJ74 side by side with mine with the same sized tires and the only difference was his had the Belton and mine has the TT...his sat about a centimeter taller. My 2 cents.
