I used an angle grinder and a cutoff wheel to cut mine off as well (I cut the frame around them so that I could take them out with part of frame attached and carefully trim off the excess, not fun crouching down in the wheel well and trying to make a precise cut) works great! Measure before you remove though:)

Hey Mel nice work again! Are you able to answer my A/C question on the forum?
Since your BJ60 has A/C! Also is the A/C pulley bolted straight on the harmonic balancer (spacer)?
And is the A/C tensioner bracket bolted straight on the timing cover?
Thanks! If you have any pics of these parts up close that would be awesome!

No more snake blunders. My buddy Jimmy also cut out and replaced a small rusty hole in the fender they caused.

The dash swap is underway. My neighbor Gunnar/gp auto is helping make it happen. We took tons of pics and labeled every wire. This job soaks up time.

The bj60 harness is way less involved than the fj62's.

The 62 harness is boxed up for now. I need to remove all the power window specific wiring from it and add it to the bj harness. The plan is to lay them out side by side, with the schematics and go to town.

Bj gas pedal and linkages are now installed in the 62. The bj throttle linkage required a hole in the 62 firewall. This is one of 3 holes needed for the conversion, the others being the clutch master and heater core.

The 4.1 difs are being swapped for more diesel friendly 3.7s. This requires pulling the front end apart, so all the seals are being replaced while I am in there.

This is my favorite part of the build. Everything gasoline specific has been removed from the 62. All the bj bits have also been removed/ cleaned up and are ready to be installed. The project is on the home stretch, although it doesnt appear so from the last pic.

Laid down some sound dampener today. In the process I removed 25 years of dust and dirt. Its a win, win, for the cruiser; cleaner and quieter.

Surprise "Discovery"! It appears someone was too lazy to drop the tank. They cut a fat whole above where the fuel pump resides and covered it with a no parking sign. Wow! I hope the po didn't pay someone for this.

Getting the wiring done. Most everything needed to make a sub harness is ready to come out of 62s harness. My goal is to not cut any of the window, mirror, lock or pwr antenna wires.

All the hvac is installed. Once the harness is done, the bj dash can be installed.

All bj specific fuel, vac and water lines have been installed run under the hood and body of the 62.

Isn't one of the 3b mounts supposed to be a bit longer? But if those are what you took out then I am sure it will be all good, one just looks different to mine, so I had to ask :)

Yes Sir, the passenger side one is a lil longer
