nice. you use a foam roller for the tremclad on the bumper?
good to know. under the truck i brush on paint. but for visible areas i normally use spray cans which looks good but gives thin coating. I'll try the rolling next time

Got these side steps from Derek a long time ago, so thought I’d fix them up and put them on green.
The drivers side was almost mint and just needed a clean up, while the passenger side needed a good wire brush, welding, and rust converter before paint.

So the trucks been dying for a while now, like starving of fuel. I changed everything, all new hoses, filter, injectors and I still couldn’t get it. Took it to a shop and they scoped the tank and it was rusted out inside so they put a new tank in and it still wouldn’t run for 30 min so they added an electric fuel pump thinking they solved the problem. Well months later it starts dying on me again so today I tore into it myself and found tons of gunk in the screen before the feeder pump, so I think my suspicion was right that the old lines have gunk from the tank in them restricting flow. I put in a fuel line to a jerry can and bypassed their electric pump and she’s been purring like a kitten for about half an hour. So I think now just put new lines to the new tank and I might be good for a while

Also, promised Howard I’d sell him my tires and rims this spring as I was planning on putting my military tires on just the rims are on back order right now, so on go the old mine truck tires for now. Looks a little more aggressive now

So in anticipation of larger tires, and the fact my oil pan was leaking, so if I had to fix that, might as well weld bung for turbo and actually turbo this thing
Only problem is that the exhaust hits the heater hoses, so I’m gonna have to do a little chop and weld tomorrow.

Was that a kit or did you make that manifold. Looks great anyway.
Should have done all that and the tcase gears and taken this to rubicon. wagon did great but looks like this one could have too
