So I've got a 1989 BJ73 3B (diesel) right hand drive that the fuel gauge does not work on. The previous owner before me said that he's never taken the cruiser over 350km on a full tank. Just wondering if others are having the same problem, as well on average what do you get out of your cruiser?

Thanks

Well normally I'm putting in about 50 L, which takes me around 350 KM. (350 km being my "safety" since I wasn't sure how far she could reach on a tank).

Thanks for the info

Have you looked into buying a new sending unit? They are very easy to access and remove. I'd say a Phillips screwdriver and an hour. Unless its significantly different from a BJ74.

My last fill was 500km and it took about 70 liters. 1988 13BT, stock gears, 33 inch tires all town driving, cold weather, manual trans.

Just yesterday I ran my truck dry at 545 km. Its a stock BJ73 with 7.50r16's and a roofrack as far as things that effect fuel economy go.
