Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and to wheeling. I recently aquired a bone stock 1994 Toyota t100 4x4. I'm wanting to put a lift and larger tires on it. I'm thinking of going with a 4" lift and 33" all terrains. However, my current tires are kinda bald, meaning I'm gonna need new tires soon. The problem is, I don't have the money to do both the lift and the tires. So i have a couple of questions.

How large a tire could i get on my truck without rubbing?

How much would 33" tires affect my gas mileage?

My current tires are P235/75R15/105S. What size rims do I have and would I have to get larger ones for the new tires?

Thanks.

Hi There,

Check out the no lift tire thread in this section. With 33's you may have rubbing issues for sure. I would go with 30's or 31's with a narrower profile.

Im probably looking at a 31x15x10.5 tire for my 90 Toy 4x4 with 5 spd and 22RE engine.

What gears, and what tranny, and what engine do you have in your truck?

Welcome Noob! :flipoff2: <-- Mud Salute!

I'm running 33x10.5s with the Tbars cranked a little in the front (read: ... free) and 3 inch longer than stock shackles in the rear. There's a little rubbing on the front when fully turned and compressed, but works fine other than that.

I'm not too sure how different the T 100s were than the mini trucks, but here's a read:

The whole site is great by the way! :D

Your tires are about 29 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide and are on a 15 inch rim. On the back side of the rim it should say weather it's a 15x7 or 15x8 or something else, but I'd guess it's a 15x7 wich is a fine size for a 10.5 inch wide tire. Much wider and you'll want an 8 inch wide rim.

Something doesn't add up. They never put the 22RE in the T100. Do you just have a regular pickup? The answer to your question kinda depends.

The T100 was bigger than the regular pickup. They made them from '93-98.

The pickup was replaced by the Tacoma in '95.

Yea the t-100 is what eventually became the tundra, so do you have a full size truck or a mini truck?

also my buddies wife drives a t-100 and it looks like 33's would fit under there fine, but I dono how it would ever fit down a trail.

I was told it was a t100. i would assume it is a mini from what's been said here. it has no model markings or anything indicating whether it's an sr5, t100 or anything else. it does for sure have a 22re.

Is it this? A T 100:

Or this? A "Mini Truck":

I thought all the T 100 came with 16 inch wheels? I work with a guy that has a T 100 and 33's will fit on 7 inch wide wheels without rubbing.

I have a good friend that has a '98 T100, it did come with 16" wheels. He traded them for a set of older 15" SR5 alloy wheels, and he has 33x10.50 BFG AT KO's on them now. He has 1" blocks in the back and he upgraded the T-bars to Swayaways, which he cranked up just a little.

If he really stuffs the front tire it does rub just a little bit on the rear of the front fender opening.

You can defenitly get a 32 x 11.50 on there with out rub........ You might be able to fit a 33 x 10.50 with some minimal rub........ Gas mialege wouldnt be too bad but you might wanna re-gear later on... But yeah if your not planning to hit the trails too much im sure you can get away with a 33 inch tire no lift........ i have 33's on my mini and i get about 16- 18 mpg....
:)

My buddie runs pro comp 32/12.5 mud terrains on a stock suspention with no rub, so if you can cram the 33's under there you wont rub, but might have to just bang the firewall in a bit.
