I assume carrier arms and accessories can be added later if I just get the base bumper now, correct?

I'd assume so as well. Originally thought you meant later in the production time line.

But if you get as much as you can now it's that 10% off :)

I'm going to be in! What about trying to set up a group buy with an installer? Maybe Sierra Expeditions or other?

I'll be tackling the install myself. I think it just requires some notching in the rear crossmember then its all bolt on from there.

Only if you get the receiver hitch. Which I suppose most would.

I'm going to be in!

Nice! Not sure if the qty for the discount will be reached but still the base bumper is a good deal. There's a very reasonable powder coater in Chandler as well. Quoted me $85 to have my front bumper done. SW Sandblasting.

I'm happy to be an assistant for someone on their install if they'll also help me with mine - especially the cutting of the cross member :)

Any more details on this @92LXAZ ?

Doesn't look like enough for a group buy on a rear bumper.

Are we supposed to make arrangements to ship your front bumper, @Hank Tank's fj55 rear, and my sliders together? Is BIOR coming down in December? I'm in no hurry on my sliders, so I can wait for the free shipping, if it even will be free shipping.

Nothing new so to speak of albeit that your are right about not reaching the group buy goal. Anyone could still get their order in, I've already told Mike put me in line. The delivery option is still open so no shipping arrangements necessary if one is willing to wait. Anyone can get an order in and just let him know they're interested in the December delivery and he is willing to do that. Since his lead time is about 12 weeks and if someone doesn't want to wait until December then they can have him ship - I'm not sure I can wait that long so I'll see what I'm feeling when mine's done in October.

I just sent Mike an email. I'm shocked there are no takers so far on my assistant installer "skills" or lack thereof ;)

I have Mike's BIOR rear on our hundy if you want to check it out. I have a tire and can swing outs. I put my tire in the DS for better visibility. Currently both swing outs are off for easier access to the back.

Mike is awesome!

Interesting. You don't leave the swingouts on full-time? How easy is it to remove them?

Swingouts can be a real PITA, and that's one of my main reasons for not having them.

Please post photos.

I confirmed my order with Mike today. Just FYI.

Sweet. I'm still contemplating getting a rear. I have some time if I want to get in on the December delivery. May ship my front...pretty anxious but we'll see.

Mike is a great guy. Long time 100s in the Hills sponsor, as well. If you guys had Hundy's, could have won one of his bumpers in a raffle last Saturday....:)

Sorry all - sometimes I just don't want to look at a PC when I get home. Here are some pix of our BIOR rear.

This last one shows what it looks like with two spares.

Thanks for the pics! I assume you like having the spare tire on the drivers side? Is that a 3 can mount?

Yes, I prefer the spare on the DS because I think it affords more visibility through the rear view mirrors. The DS rear tends to be a blind spot anyway, using the mirrors. It does mean that when you open the spare tire swing out, its on the road side if you are parallel parked. This can mean easier safer access to the tail gate from the sidewalk side (assuming of course you have room to open it when parallel parked).

Mike pointed out that placing the spare on the DS does mean that if you have the high mount jack plate behind the spare on the DS there is less clearance for the jack since it has to be rotated and there is a pin that sticks out to the tail lamp. I have a highlight jack plate and have mounted it there and it seems to work fine, even with less clearance. Its possible that if the frame or bumper flexed up, that pin on the jack could contact the lens. So far no issue for us though.

I should also note that the under-mounted spare in my pix is so low because there is a 16 gallon aux tank hiding above that spare.
