Biggest Tires on stock 2nd gen Sequoia? (2 Viewers)

Hey Guys. I have a 2018 trd sport sequoia and was hoping someone here can help me out on a few questions. I was able to come across a set of wheels sized 20x9.5 with a 0 offset. I can't figure out what maximum tire size to run with out rubbing or trimming. Currently im on the stock trd/Bilsten strut suspension. I plan to do a lift level 2-3" in the near future. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

35s will fit with that lift no problem

I picked up 18" Tundra TRD wheels off Craigslist for $200 and went with 275/70-18 (33") Wildpeak's. If I had a lift I would have gone bigger. I think 275/65-20 (34") should work.

Did you have to trim the factory skid plate?

Just wanted to share what I did last weekend.Had to remove the front lower bumper flap and mud guards to clear. If I hit a big dip on full lock it will rub the body. I’m still waiting for my suspension and front bumper but here it is.

No the stock skid plate was fine. So is the RCI skid plate I have now.

Yes, they should work fine. That isn't even a 33" tire. Folks are running 35s on the stock suspension with the correct offset.

Great! I’ve got a set of rock warriors and one of them has a brand new 285/70/17 ko2 on it. That’ll make a good start!

Does anyone know if there are clearance issues me fitting a 275/70r18 on a platinum 2nd gen? I thought I read somewhere that the difference in rear suspension with the air bags might cause an issue with fit? I haven’t been able to confirm or disconfirm this anywhere.

Anyone have a stock platinum that they have put 275/70r18s on? Thanks in advance!

I put the 275/65/r18 on my platinum. I bought the SR5 rims and swapped them out. Haven't gone to anything bigger than that though.

Nope, no issues at all. I just prefer the look of 18" rims on SUVs and wanted to go smaller.
