Bestop Tigertop

local guy is selling a brand new tigertop with doors for $750obo CDN. I may need to sell the cruiser after summer and without a top, it'll be a very tough sell so i'm gonna need something. I'd really like a hardtop, but they are proving to be quite hard to find in a decent condition (quite expensive too) and it'd have to be painted so maybe the soft top is the way to go. Anyone have any first hand experience with the tigertop?

The Tiger top requires snaps. I hate snaps. The supertop does not. I use the new STC (Kayline) top that has removable windows. The Bestops don't have that feature.

I thought you just got the cruiser, now your already planning on selling it?

i'm 23, i live with my parents and i own 3 vehicles. that pretty much sums it up. if i can afford to keep them all and keep my parents from killing me or throwing me out, then i will, but most likely something's gotta go.

Supertop.....

Just bought my supertop from the guy on ebay brand new for 444 plus 45 in shipping. Better than most dealers I checked so I went ahead. The top looks great and is in perfect condition.

i ran a tigertop once...won't ever do it again. poor design, poor fitment. snaps break, too many holes to drill, then i had to drill more and add snaps cause i had problems with the tires shooting rainwater under the edge of the top. the sections behind and above the doors are velcro and peel off if you're going any faster than 40 (had to add snaps there also). zippers broke after two years and had to be replaced. was too tight over the back and not tight enough over the cab. not worth the money. look for a kayline/spec top or one of eshans tops and you'll be happier.

Hard doors

They didnt come with doors but Im just goin to run my hard doors. Kind of a temporary thing till I get my hardtop put back together but definitely better than a tiger top. good luck

do you need the full roll cage for the kayline/spec top? i checked a few out and they all seemed to go on full roll cages?

the soft top that came with the cruiser that the PO said was a piece of poopie looks like it's a tiger top. i've downloaded the installation from bestop's site and i'm gonna throw it on and see what i think. the positive thing if i bought the new tigertop is that the snaps and everything are already drilled. we'll see...

Since you got it with the truck, try it for a while, but like Ige says they suck. You could always sell it and put the money towards another brand.

I hear people disliking tiger tops - Ehsan has the best tops in Pakistan - and amazing ethics - great guy - but you need some time to order it ect - maybe a few months
