Ive been reading how to do this properly but admittedly im not a wiring/electrical guru.... so dumb it down for me (im a carpenter .....)
Just looking for a consensus on the most recent/best way as some post i read are dated and some of the products are no longer available, also some of the practices that people used to do have better solutions now.

right now it is wired direct 24v from acc power soldered off the steering column to the converter ( to a bluesea fuse box ) and no constant power to the 12v deck so I get the annoying start up screen and no memory preset stations held. There are also other 12v stuff off of the converter -bluesea, gauges, intercooler pump, usb etc.

too late

No not factory, but the factory one is in there but not hooked up so i am assuming it stopped working

now out

i guess i could wire it up and check if its working or not, its got one red a blue and blue with a white stripe wires....
any idea on which wires are which?
