Best console?

????? Seriously the best console it going to depend on what the pron industry adopts. Just like the failure of Betamax, since they (the pron industry) ended up supporting VHS instead.

If you are talking about CENTER consoles, I don't think so.. Really it is one of those things that comes down to personal preference and what is needing to be stored.

i have the center console from CCOT with the front cup holders. its a direct bolt on, looks really good, not tacky or intense. It comes with everything you need, really sturdy and a strong lock and leather cushion. i don't know what you really want

The ccot. It's the cheapest one on the link. I don't know why it's under Tuffy.

But I did have the top cushion reupholstered to match the seats.

I think the tuffy product is the best...for quality and features. The version with the little flip up door for the radio mount.

I got the cheaper Smittybuilt.

Same here... very lack luster though but serves a purpose. My cup holders failed within a couple months. Recently went through the process of adding some 3" ABS drain piping in place of the cupholders and is working fine now. I would rather have a Tuffy or the new CruiserCrap console but I am too cheap.

I produce one console, and people have used it in both the FJ40, and FJ60. I've got some photos of it in a FJ60 - I'll dig those up. For the FJ60, you just need to use a small 1x1 piece of square tubing to level the console out in the front. - Mark

Is it correct to say you can't mount a radio?

So those of you who have these "tall" consoles, how hard is it to roll up/down the passenger side window when driving? I can just barely manage by leaning way over my console to reach the far window crank. It looks like these consoles would put an end to that endeavor. They also look like they have sharp corners (except the icon).

The Smittybuilt doesn't have any sharp edges that I can think of.

There is no radio mount, it's designed to house a Bluetooth amp, and work with your Bluetooth device and that device can lay in the upper tray. On this photo is my personal console that I installed a set of Contura switches.

I found the pictures of the FJ60 we were test fitting the console in. Using a 1x1 square stock, and an old bracket I had laying around for the back, it fits very nice. I don't supply this bracket and I am working to create one, but it's going slow. There have been a few FJ60 guys that have used my console, maybe they can chime in on how they mounted it?
