Has anyone made a bed rack for their 45?

Want to build one and put my RTT on it but want to avoid drilling holes in the floor to mount it.

Are there any brackets out there that clamp to the side rails?

Thanks

Here is an OEM option. I have never seen one in person. I am looking at making one.

I dont have a picture with me. I did build two racks...heavier than the stock, but have the same general feel. I then connected them with bolt on tubing....I want to be able to remove whenever I want. I then mounted an old confer so it sits just below the top tails. It allows me to haul paddle boards when needed and also use the basket rack

Made an aluminized tubing rack to carry kayaks. Strong enough to carry stuff, sleep on or just cover with a tarp

Just a few bolts on two strips of angle, I clear coated the welds, and hit the road

Check out the thread by love2fly, that is outstanding work on his pickup

Thanks for the replies guys

@wdukes and @Vintij74 can you post pics on how you mounted your racks to the bed?

Angle iron, as mentioned above, can be cut to allow clamps to grab your bed rails, or it can be definitely drilled also. Here is a bed rack built for a Gen 1 Tundra, the one shown in progress we are building for a 2017 Tacoma with 1.75 diameter steel tube, 1/8 wall, 1/8 angle iron 2x1.5. Cheers
