You are right, keeping the rig lightweight has a real effect offroad, and I have gone out of my way to do just that.
And just to stir the pot, IMHO, limiting the travel (in my case with bumpstops) has made the rig MORE stable offroad. Sure it lifts wheels and does not look so spectacular, but it keeps the truck level in most cases. Sure, an EXTREME angle will tip her over, but I reckon a truck with more travel will go first!

Flame suit on and ready.....

But WAIT! .....

I'm the first female on 'mud to say: :flipoff2: Greetings, BBM Rick?! :bounce2: :bounce:

Welcome!

Isn't yer 80 kinda "bouncy" on 40s with no additional weight?

And yeah - my 80 also wants tires like yours, but can't even dream of that here in New Jersey - the Gestapo State.
(dunno if you'll get the pun, but NJ is "the Garden State" officially, tho we all call it... :D)

Hi,nice rig.
I've seen it one year ago while Iwas searching a real good 80 to buy and if I'm not wrong were you selling it? Good you didn't,such a 80 is life lasting!
