Well i can deduce the battery (battery is new), connections, and belt tension. I called cruiser parts this morning and they are sending me a new one.

Same as OP. This a 1991 Land Cruiser with a 3FE fuel injected engine US

Thanks for the help along the process

Update: Cruiser parts were kind enough to send me a new alternator out. installed and everything is working accordingly.

tha land cruiser deciding not to turn on yesterday. Oil temp, brake light, and battery light are on. Car crank and turns but no start.
alternator was replaced a while ago. Any Ideas??

Please don't start multiple threads for 1 issue. It gets confusing for those trying to help you.
Those lights are on because the engine isn't running. If those lights stay on AFTER the engine fires, then your alternator has failed.

Hi I have am having the same problem with a 1989 Toyota landcruiser the battery was always dead so tested the alternator and it was only charging at 11.2 so i changed that out with a new one it was doing great then i was driving the day after and the 3 light combo came on so i checked the voltage at the batter while running and it is 14.56 and at the alternator it is 14.58 to 14.60 so that tells me the alternator is working so justvtrying to see what I should do next cables are tight all the way around

I now how the same issue in my 94 fzj80, but Is it possible to have the Battery Discharge Light, E-brake Light & A/T Oil Light all on, have the engine turn over but not start, and still have it be the alternator? With those lights on, could it still be something else? battery voltage looks fine and can turn the engine over easily, it just doesn't start. so it seems like a bit of a mystery. The christmas tree lights went on while driving about 10mins after starting.

Brake lights, dome lights work. CEL does not come on.

update: with all that weirdness, tossing a new alternator in fix the issue. Christmas tree lights dont lie apparently :meh:
