If my winch max current load at max load (9500 lbs) is 480A, is it safe to use a switch with an intermittent use (5 min) rating of 500A as long as I operate the winch not more than 5 min?
I was thinking of using http://www.bluesea.com/products/6006200/m-Series_Mini_On-Off_Battery_Switch_with__Knob_-_Black
for my application as a winch switch with an inline 500A ANL fuse.
