I became a member a long time ago. I bought a 1979 FJ40 in 2006. Life got in the way (and my brother blew the engine), so it was sold to one who could spend more time on it.

I'm tempted to save to 285/75/17 Duratracs for a future lift, but not sure yet.

I'm glad to be back and hope not to be too much of a reformed newb.

Welcome back, and nice choice of trucks. I anxiously await your build progress.

I too started out a long (long) time ago, way back when the TLCA mailing list was around (before these new-fangled forum things). I built my truck up from an IFS daily driver to a back-country exploring rig to solid-axle rock crawler. Got burned out on that and life interfered and sold my truck. Now I'm back into it, shopping for trucks and excited about a move back west.

Newbs and old-timers alike are welcome here!

Thanks for the welcome back. I know the 120 series forum is dominated by GX 470s, but I hope to learn more.

And yes, I know to search before asking questions that have been asked hundreds of times.

Most of the GX drivetrain stuff works on yours too, so there is value in all of the posts!

the only difference in out rigs is the coach work, and the GXs rear air suspension. other than that they are all the same and parts will interchange.
