Too much going on, got married, trying to move, buying/selling houses, etc.

I figure I can sell this, pay of some things, and build the 100 next!

The analogy

Well somehow the analogy.... "you just bought a new dress for the wedding event" and I thought I would buy another 4x4 for the annual event may not go over very well with my :princess:

maybe there is a better analogy to convince her I need another vehicle...

look at it this way, sooner or later you're gonna pour the $$ into your 4runner and ultimately get to the same place the Avo is now. So...don't think, just do!

You can justify it to your wife as getting the expense out of the way now as opposed to the long term debt. In fact, you could even say it was out of respect to her feelings, I'm just sayin' :flipoff2:

What about....

She's a smartie..., so maybe I could just say.... its kinda like how you feel the need to change "knick-knacks" out in the house at the consignment shops.
I felt the need to change out vehicles and then mutter something that I have my Dads car "gene" in me and then let her bi:censor: to my dear "Mum"

LOL!

Anytime you spend any money on the truck or garage say it is for the house. My wife used that line on me one day after bringing home a prize she bought. So i started using it when I would bring home a tool or when a part for the truck would show up on the front porch. If all else fails just say I won it at a raffle and all the money goes to starving kids. ;)

what's good for you is good for the family, declare it therapy. If you as a husband and father feel better about yourself and your "place in life" you make the lives of those around you richer (good word here). Declare it an investment in the overall well being of your family and thus a worthwhile expense and investment. It will pay dividends...such as providing an opportunity for you to bond with your children, your wife, and establish an environment of harmony, trust and love.

You can't put a price on something like this.

Linda--I'm sorry, I'm getting too good at this, I almost believe my own BS :hhmm:

Honestly, you will spend 3x more than what I am asking to do the same to any other truck, so if you plan on wheeling and want to have a very capable truck, you are actually SAVING Money.

That sir, is sound logic.
