First time poster. Got my 2008 LC back in November in the Dallas area. Probably started reading mud a good year before I got a hold of one, and for better or worse, probably wouldn't have jumped in if it wasn't for all the amazing info here. I'm having a lot of fun with it and wow, what a vehicle. Plan to make a build thread sometime soon. In the mean time, I've been looking for a way to give back to the community here, and I think I finally found one, so hopefully this helps someone!

I've seen the holders that Slee makes for the switch pros panel and that made me also want a solution that hid away nicely. That switch pros looks amazing, tons of features, but was just a bit too much for me. Still wanted something to control lights and act as a bit of an accessory hub. Came across the Auxbeam panel and decided to give it a try.

TL;DR - Made a 3d printed piece that inserts into the flip down panel. It cants the panel down a few degrees too vs other solutions I saw and I think it helps to look a bit more "factory". Tell me what y'all think!

Placeholder - Going to post the model file to thingiverse for all to have as soon as I get it in the truck and double check fitment

Pictures -

Here's how the sunglasses holder looks when you detach the two pieces. When detaching them, insert something thin into the top part at the seam, then it just lifts out.

The 3d printed piece I made then clips into the panel in place of the holder...

I'll post more pictures of it in the cruiser and turned on as soon as I can. Probably won't be until next weekend.

Nicely done! Doesn't hurt that it looks friggen great.

Let me check fitment up in place. Make sure I don't have to make any other mods. I'll make a thingiverse post when it checks out.
I meant the Auxbeam unit . . .

I have the slee bracket, but this 3D one is awesome! Someone should verify that it fits the switchpros, or mod it to fit to have that option too.

Success! Took me a little longer than I wanted to get back in the garage. Had to make some modifications to the design to make more clearance on the back side, but the latest version fits good.

Nice! Can I use this file to make some for mud??

If this fits the switchpros this is exactly what I'd be looking for.
If I can find a 3D model for the switchpros or dimensions for the buttons, I can adapt this one.

@SammyNicotine I’ll engrave your name into it boss. Any chance you can adapt it to the switch pros for Willard? Or maybe send me the previous iterations/one where I can resize the button slots?

Much appreciated! These should cost mud next to nothing if I figure it out!

@SharpeCat I can sure try. If someone can get the dimensions and front & rear pics, I can see how adaptable the design is. If it's any larger in height or thickness it would probably be a no-go, at least without starting from scratch. It should be pretty quick to mod it for a smaller size though. Might look for someone with a switchpros that could test fit a prototype?

I looked through the previous iterations, I don't think any of them would help more than the latest CAD file. Most of the adjustments have had to do with fitment into the factory piece and for overall thickness.

@Sverige Appreciate it!
