Hey, long story short, my land cruiser I bought last year has a Chevy small block, a turbo 350, and an np205 powering 2 inverted Toyota axles
I think I have isolated the very obnoxious high pitched chirp/whine to around the transmission hump when in second/third gear (30mph or more) and done some testing to confirm this theory.
My friend said let's drain the transmission and inspect the pan and we found this, he says end of days I thought damn for a 40-50 year old transmission (no data on history of it other than abused rock crawler) I thought it looked quite alright.
Thoughts?
