Auto Windshield Wiper Behaving Strange

That's to clear out any last remaining washer fluid that might run down your windshield. I like it.
I agree. Some clever engineer was thinking. Just took me by surprise the first few times.

I also appreciate the clever engineering of my back wiper - if I start up the car and spray/clean the windshield before setting out, and then put it in reverse, the rear wiper goes once. Neat.

Best free mod I ever did was to unplug that rain sensor on the windshield. Now the intermittent function works as it should, and I don't have wipers that are possessed by some demon.
I unplugged mine and it works perfect now. Just the way I like it. I wish I could unplug that stupid "Active cruise control" It is way too sensitive and the following distance is too far away even when adjusted to the closest position. Takes for ever to re-engage and catch back up the car in front of me. I wish we had an option to over ride it and just use standard cruise control.

You do have that option. When you turn your CC on, hold the stalk forward until the RADAR (or whatever it says) disappears.

It is so much better on my 2013 the forward press has become automatic when I turn cruise on. Plus you can adjust cruise speed with the stalk in 1mph increments instead of 5.

Follow up on this.

My guess is there must have been some debris or similar on the windshield causing the sensor to activate the wipers when starting the truck. The wipers started functioning normally again a few weeks back.
