I may have to try this. I have one seal (input) on my steering rack that's just started leaking a bit, wondering if it's just that the seal is old, or if I've got a wear issue (~225k miles on the rack)

Wow!! Thanks for such a detailed response. It certainly sounds like a good option. It arrived today and I will be giving it a go in the next couple of days once I have pinpointed the leaks a bit better and can accurately see if it works. Thanks again
@AussieMick80

How 'bout a follow-up??

It should work if leaks is not too bad, never hurt to try.

Still working here, no leaks or any other issues. I'm happy with the results.

Hi All

Similar to what another member experienced, I added AT 205 (about 3 oz) to the power steering (which had sweating on the boot) and two days later (now) the front seal of the pump has blow. I did a flush before adding it as well. So be cautious.

Is it thick stuff? You could be changing the viscosity which leads to pressure build-up which in turn blows out seals. If not that then there is something in the product that creates a blockage. And if not that, then maybe the product was harmless and these failures were because your junk was already too clapped out. I was once young and poor, and looked into these miracle products to fix my aging vehicles. It's just a gamble.

they are seal swellers, it doesnt fix damaged seals

Still working here, same same, no leaks.

So in my case, I had sweating on the outside of my one boot on the rack for the last 3 months.
I added a few drops to the reservoir every 2000 miles in this time, so it wasn't bad at all. I tried to rekon the steering rack before a big trip but everyone was full for the year end work.
So bought and imported the product in the hope that it would help and then do the rack in the new year when I get back.

Unfortunately I never got to leave as the seal in the pump blew just 12 hours before we were meant to leave.

It's my own fault, I should have done the rack 3 months ago when the dealership noticed the sweating. Anyways....as just said, it's a gamble.

What boots on the steering rack are you talking about? 80 series don't have a rack with boots? Are you talking about the 100 series?
