Are 80 & 100 shocks interchangeable?

Guys,

Does anyone know whether the 100 & 80 series shock absorbers are interchangeable? I've been told that they are. Just want to confirm.

My land rover buddies tell me that 100 and 80 series shocks are their extended length shock options.

I forgot to mention that I am looking for front shocks. I went with 101s in the back. Trying to figure out options for front.

This could be an alternative - Hoser turned me on to these shock extentions...out of Japan IIRC
