ARB Single Compressor Mount

I think that's what he was attempting to do with that video.

There's a whole loom that you aren't going to be using. But you need to cut off and save the red-yellow wire because of the diode, then toss the rest of the that loom.

Then on the other loom, the one that plugs into your compressor (the switch wire), mine had two wires coming out of it at the plug. Black and purple. I cut the purple at the plug, and spliced in the red-yellow wire. That's all you need, Black, and Red-yellow, everything else can go. You can splice the black at the plug too if you are confused by how they taped several wires with that black one further down the loom. Just cut it at the plug, splice in a new black (or whatever color you have, doesn't matter, just label it if it's red).

Does your plug look like mine, two wires coming out of it? 3 wires coming in the other side of the plug from the compressor?

Last step, run a constant 12v wire from fuse box or from battery but fuse it.

Now you have 3 wires that plug into your switch. Black on the top, Red yellow on the bottom, Red in the middle.

Glad I just took that picture, reminds me I did this in a big hurry, need to go back and waterproof those connections, it's clearly getting wet and dirty under there.
Mine looks totally different. I called ARB and they said this should be plug and play for a simple on off switch. so here goes nothing. I'll check back in later if it does or doesn't work.

Well it may not appear to be much, but it worked and is a great accomplishment. The single ARB single compressor harness is almost plug and play if all you want is a simple on/off switch mounted in your engine bay.

On my 2000 Land Cruiser there are two vacant fuse slots that happen to be powered only with the ignition on, so they worked perfectly for supplying my ARB rocker switch with illumination and power, which is accomplished by connecting the 2 skinny wires with the diodes you can see pictured. It's the two wires in my photo with the green tape on the ends. One is red with yellow stripe and the other is blue with white stripe.

I purchased a fuse with wire kit and just crimped and plugged the blue/white and red/yellow diode wires then inserted one in each vacant fuse slot you see me pointing to in the picture. As for the ARB rocker switch rear numbered terminals, they each take one of the five wires from the isolating switch loom and are plugged in as follows:

FROM Isolating switch loom, the five wires go like this:

Red/Yellow wire goes to terminal #3
Solid red wire goes to terminal #2
One black wire to terminal #8 and one black wire to terminal #7 doesn't matter which goes where
Blue/White wire goes to terminal #6

I hope this helps someone who is as technologically impaired as me.
